Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
|
A project here has purchased some Galil motors to run some high-power RF attenuators and phase shifters. The information I’ve been given on the controller configuration is:Controller : DMC30017 with 2PB option (2 phase brushless drive). FW : DMC30010 Rev 1.2c HN : DMC30017 IOB : rev 0, LSNK AMP : rev 0, 2PB MCB : rev 4, SPI flash
Configuration:
DHCP disabled : DH0 IP fixed : IA 192,168,24,25 Stepper mode : MT -2 Motor current = 1.5A : AG 1 Quadrature encoder : CE 4 (CE 0 when in 2PB mode) Limits active low : CN 1,1,-1,0,0,0
I have downloaded the support module from http://motorapp.github.io/Galil-3-0/ and built it. But when I had a look at the example application provided therein my reaction was “egad”. Trajectories, coordinated motion, and even multiple IP addresses in the startup script. But not even a README AFAICT. The application is pretty simple — a handful of individual motor records would be fine. Can someone out there in EPICS-land point me in the direction of a simpler example or at least some hints on how this controller is to be used?
Thanks,
