EPICS Base version 3.15.3 is now available for download from the usual places, e.g.

http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/base/R3-15/3.php

This is another patch release, containing all of the Known Problems fixes and a number of other minor (backwards-compatible) enhancements to 3.14.12/3.15, mostly to the build system.

Two things that might be mentioned:
  • The feature to bind an IOC to a specific network interface, introduced in 3.15.0.2, has a bug that has not been fixed yet.
    There is, however, a fix available from the Known Problems page that has been tested on Linux_64bit only. Windows IOCs are not affected by the bug. A completely tested fix is expected to be included in the 3.15.4 release.
  • A new mechanism has been added, that allows to create any text configuration file (e.g. st.cmd files) by concatenating numbered file snippets.
