The version control repositories for ten synApps modules were moved
today from the APS subversion server to GitHub. For each of these
modules, the APS subversion repository is considered closed. A "GIT"
tag has been placed in the SVN repository of each to mark the end of
development in subversion.
Modules on the https://github.com/epics-modules path provide device,
driver, or IOC software support.
The modules moved today are:
https://github.com/epics-modules/calc
https://github.com/epics-modules/caputRecorder
https://github.com/epics-modules/ip
https://github.com/epics-modules/love
https://github.com/epics-modules/std
https://github.com/epics-modules/vac
https://github.com/epics-modules/vme
Modules on the https://github.com/EPICS-synApps path provide
configuration, documentation, and utilities for synApps. They were
created on a separate path than the above modules so as not to create
ambiguous names in the epics-modules path, yet still provide
backward-compatibility with how the synApps directory tree has been used.
The modules moved today are:
https://github.com/EPICS-synApps/configure
https://github.com/EPICS-synApps/documentation
https://github.com/EPICS-synApps/utils
It is still possible to checkout a synApps SVN development tree using
the checkout.csh (or checkout.bat for Windows) script available in:
https://subversion.xray.aps.anl.gov/synApps/support/trunk/
These modules remain to be moved from the APS SVN server:
softGlue
sscan
optics
xxx
support (last to be moved)
The "ebrick" module will not be moved to GitHub. There no plans for
further development in this module.
