Hi Remi, I have just recently gone through setting up EPICS comms to S7-1500 PLC using TIA Portal. I have used the document from PSI that you have referred to as a basis. The fact that you are using TIA portal instead of SIMATIC Manager doesn’t actually change anything on EPICS side. It only changes the way you set up the comms block in the PLC. But it is actually very similar, just the user interface is different and you might have to use different SND and RCV blocks. You might even have to use slightly different SND
and RCV blocks from my example since you’re using S7-300 and I’m using S7-1500, but this is easily obvious once you get to this stage. I have created a simple step-by-step guide similar to the one PSI created but for TIA Portal. Unfortunately I have not had time to make it pretty yet, so for now it’s just a collection of steps with relevant screenshots. Let me know if
