I recommend NVIDIA NVS 510 graphics card. I am running 4 monitors each with 4k resolution (Debian 7.8), similarly 4 monitors each with 1080 resolution, dual monitors (debian 8) with same card, a dual monitor under windows 8.1. I found it easy to configure, and configuration persists – no maintenance for far.

Hi All.

This isn't specifically about EPICS, but I don't think it is too far off topic. We are looking for PC based video hardware that can provide well functioning multihead video support for use in a control room console setting. We've had a bad experience with a particular model of ATI cards that don't seem to play well with Linux. I'm just wondering what others are using that will support console PCs with 4 and 6 monitors each of resolution 1920X1200 or better and operating as a single Linux desktop for display of EDM screens, and sundry other control system applications. We presently own a large number of monitors, which were purchased for compatibility with the ATI cards, meaning that they all have Display Port interfaces for attachment to the video cards.

Thanks.
