Thanks Tom,

indeed this was the problem. I was traped by the fact to make my file more 
readable and being used to add spaces in function calls in C code I did it 
also in the db file. 
Maybe the documentation need to be more precise here, e.g.

Protocol parameters follow the protocol name enclosed in paranthesis, 
seperated by comas without any spaces inbetween.
