Hi,

As long as you don't use the "1.2.3.4" unicast form of address in EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST then you can safely treat this warning message as benign.

I have heard that some of the sites are working around this issue by placing their IOCs, when there are multiple IOCs per host, in dedicated virtual machines.

I also have implemented support for binding the soft IOC to a dedicated network interface in a new CA server we use here, but this server isn't included at this time in any version of EPICS released at launch pad. This would allow for working around this issue by employing multiple virtualized network interfaces.
