Dear All,

We are looking for remote controllable power strips, to be mounted in
19" racks (full size and small units).
It would be great if they'd be

  * radiation hardened
  * magnetic field hardened
  * controllable using a decent interface (prefer ASCII over web server)
  * small and affordable (rather 5 than 20 outlets).

We have a bunch of those to allow us to power cycle things from e.g.
the office with the things are at one of the telescopes.
The have an ASCII command line interface (we telnet into them),
definable names for the ports, etc., including being configurable
to have the default of any of the outlets to be "off" after a power
outage (important if you have a power outage and don't want the IOCs
to try to boot before the server is up). I think they have 8 ports.
You can define more than one port to have the same name which is useful
for devices with redundant power supplies. For all I remember they are 19" rack mounts and 1 or 2 U.

Don't know about radiation or magnetic field hardening - or the
price - but if they otherwise fit your bill I can ask.

Aloha,
Maren
