Hi,
I'm an absolutly newbie.
I want to set up an 'EPICS envrionment' which uses CSS as operator interface
and where the process variables are provided by a java application. I read
several things about EPICS v3 and EPICS v4, took a look at CSS documentation
and now I have some question which I couldn't answer after reading the diffrent
help pages:

- Is it correct that by an remote procedure call using pvAcess is provided a
EPICS v4 NT 'datastructure' which can build in the method which implements
the RPCServer.

- How can I access the provided data by using CSS e.g. when I'm using a gauge
object. I completed the 'PV Name' by 'pva://testservice/vname.value' but it
didn't work. (In my case is 'testservice' the RPC service name, 'vname' the

name of the NT structure and 'value' the NT_scalar which contais the 'provided
data'.
