Yes, DESY also seems to have a redundant setup for the CA Gateway.
I have not been able to try it myself, but Matthias Clausen <[email protected]> is able to provide more details.

Subject: Does EPICS has defects?

Hi, all,

I often heard about the benefits of EPICS, like free, opensource,
scale-able, lots of users, etc.

But I know every coin has two sides. Someone told me, EPICS
cannot offer node redundancy, is it true?
Does EPICS has other defects?

Thanks.

Yours,
HaveF
