Hi Yuan,

CA Lab by Carsten et. al. is a good option, there are a few others out there, so if it doesn’t fulfil your requirements there may be other options. It does depend on how your LabVIEW is architected.

There’s also lvDCOM (http://epics.isis.stfc.ac.uk/) which has been written here, which doesn’t require any alteration of LabVIEW code to interact with the PVs, although you may have to alter your LabVIEW preferences.

At the moment where we need LabVIEW to ‘serve’ PVs we use lvDCOM, and are starting to use CA Lab when we need to access PVs from LabVIEW.

Kathryn

Hello Yuan,

we developed a nice interface called CA Lab. All you need  you can find here: http://www-csr.bessy.de/control/SoftDist/CA_Lab/
