(I have fixed the problem you mentioned: I forgot to rename a macro when
moving header file stuff from snc to the seq library. I wonder why this fails
only on VxWorks. Will make a new release with the fix when I implemented the
stuff I proposed here.)

Have you considered what I wrote regarding the C API compatibility:

This would mean you don't need conditional compilation in escaped C code --
but instead you would have to revert the changes you already made...
