Hi,

 

You need to use some existing Keithley 2400 device support (there is asyn support at  http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/download/modules/keithley2400-1.1.tar.gz or I can send you the Diamond version based on StreamDevice – I have attached the protocol file as a starter).

 

You then either use your choice of programming method (typically a sequence record or a SNL program) to chain all the commands together.

Hello,

        I am trying communication with KEITHLEY 2400 on serial port(RS-232).I sent command "*IDN?" it has performed very well and i got the output.

i want to reset the device and the commands are

*RST

:SOUR:FUNC VOLT

:SOUR:VOLT:MODE FIX

:SOUR:VOLT:RANG 20

:SOUR:VOLT:LEV 10

:OUTP ON

:READ?

now,How to write program in VDCT for performing all commands sequentially.Actually i have no idea about this.please help me....

Q.2: How to send commands to device  at run time in VDCT?

what is the format of

caput? on that time
