Eric is working toward a common CSS distribution: no site product, single configurable distribution, one set of instructions for all sites. To align with that, the warnings will go away and there will be hopefully some installation guide. We are not there yet. If you want to help debugging and getting that into shape, I'd suggest you contact Eric. He definitely needs help to put all of it together!!!

Gabriele,

We were producing our own product for a while but this seemed to become a bit of overhead since the Basic EPICS product has what we need for now.

Note that I looked around for some config information for PVManager in the CSS help to either disable this.  It might be helpful to add some items in the help to show what is needed (as from Kay's response) to help with configuration since this is not configured via preferences.  
The conscious decisions are made by developers, not the users.  This would allow the warning messages to stay.
