Dear all
As usual, we released a new version of the ITER software distribution, named CODAC Core System in February and we packaged the corresponding source code and build tools in a public version (.tar.gz).
The latest release is numbered 4.2.0 and is based on RHEL 6.3 and EPICS base 3.14.12.3.
It includes all ITER-specific components as well as the one from EPICS community we are using.
It is available from this link: http://www.iter.org/org/team/chd/cid/codac/coresystem
The current set of NI boards we are supporting and for which you'll find Linux drivers and EPICS device support are:
- PXI-6259 (multi-purpose)
- PXI-6682 and PXI-6683H (timing)
- PXI-6528 (digital I/O)
- FlexRIO PXIe-796xR bundles 7966R/5791R ADC, 7961R/6581 DIO and 7966R/1483 Image Acquisition
Drivers have been tested on both RHEL 6.3 and MRG-R 2.1.
No device support is included yet for FlexRIO but we'll have it soon.
The ITER customised CS-Studio products can be directly downloaded from CS-Studio central build system at: https://openepics.ci.cloudbees.com/view/CS-Studio/job/CS-Studio%20-%20ITER/
Please tell me if you have an interest in this distribution so that we can tailor the effort to interests.
We are preparing one more minor version based on RHEL6.3/EPICS 3.14 before moving to RHEL 6.5/EPICS 3.15.
Thanks to EPICS and CSS coordinators for kindly facilitating schedule synchronization.
And thanks Many for all the new goodies!
Franck
