I communicated offline with Matt yesterday.

At the APS we are running the Andor Neo with RHEL6 kernel 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64. Matt is using 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64.

So both are 2.6.32, only differing slightly. We also were previously running an older build of RHEL6, though I am not sure exactly which kernel number.

I suspect the problem is not the kernel version, but perhaps a conflict with another device or IRQ as Phil suggests.

Hello,

We use the Neo on SL6 (a RHEL rebuild). We have not had problems with
the software end, but we have had some issues with the CameraLink card
under Linux. It seems to work in some slots, but not others. I think
the drivers is sensitive to something like a shared IRQ.

However, we're finding that the SDK3 doesn't work on 64-bit RHEL6 (Kernel 2.6.32). I've not had the chance to test the EPICS support yet, as this is purely an Andor issue - their example programs fail to run correctly.
