Hi,
Have any DLS EtherCAT module users noticed messages like the following in their log?
Dec 16 15:31:57 (none) kernel: [17651.934011] EtherCAT WARNING 0: 2000 datagrams UNMATCHED!
Dec 16 15:31:58 (none) kernel: [17652.934010] EtherCAT WARNING 0: 2000 datagrams UNMATCHED!
Dec 16 15:31:59 (none) kernel: [17653.934010] EtherCAT WARNING 0: 2000 datagrams UNMATCHED!
This was only happening when the scanner was running. I was seeing these messages on my test system which is set up as:
- Linux 3.4.69-rt85
- EtherLab Master 1.5.2
- EtherLab ec_e1000e driver
- DLS ethercat-1-5-3
- EK1100, EL3052, EL4024, EL3104
IO was still working on my simple test system (which comprises of one connection from the Beckhoff EL4024 to the EL3052). I found a thread on the EtherLab mailing list (http://lists.etherlab.org/pipermail/etherlab-dev/2013/000334.html ) which talked about the order of calling some of the EtherLab application interface functions (http://lists.etherlab.org/pipermail/etherlab-dev/2013/000342.html). After following these instructions and making changes to cyclic_task() in scanner.c the log messages stopped. My test system seems to be running fine after this change (which admittedly I did only yesterday).
Thanks,
Damien
