Subject: Cothread pre-release

Following the discussion of the last few days I have now made a beta release candidate for cothread which can be downloaded from http://controls.diamond.ac.uk/downloads/python/cothread

I would be grateful for any comments and test results. In particular, if anyone is using the Python3 branch I would very much like to know -- at present I'm only able to give it the most perfunctory of tests, so any test results anybody else can create will be gratefully received!

This release introduces a handful of mostly trivial changes. You can now create and destroy camonitors endlessly without leaks and I've finally found and worked around an EPICS race condition which could cause mysterious messages or crashes during shutdown (if a subscription is closed while a callback is "in transit" the callback could complete after the close completed; this is fixed in a recent EPICS version, can't remember which).

The other change is the change discussed this week: caget/camonitor on an array value will now *always* return an array (and correctly handles a zero length array). This is a compatibility breaking change in the one case where count=1 is specified on an array; I may revisit this corner case before the final release.

Please review, I'll make a 2-11 release in the New Year. Enjoy the Christmas break now!
