Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

All,
I have built CSS (from source version 3.1.6. In particular on 64 bit linux) and I have included in the CSS product the features for the Beast Alarm Handler UI as well as dummy Authorization.
Specifically,
the CSS product depends on the
org.csstudio.alarm .beast.ui.feature and
and feature org.csstudio.sns.feature.core depends on
org.csstudio.platform.jaasAuthentication and
org.csstudio.platform.jaasAuthentication.ui
I am able to run CSS (org.csstudio.basic.epics.product) as an Eclipse application. Alarms Server is also running as well as the JMS server.
The CSS Alarm perspective look and functions as expected except that when I right click on an item in Alarm Tree or in Alarm Table the "configure item" menu choice is always grayed out. I have logged in using dummy authorization.
Do you have suggestions regarding what I may be doing wrong? Is this an issued related to Alarm RDB permissions?
Regards and thanks,
