Hi,

String input with asynOctet is giving the IOC initialisation value of the PV during run time also. It is not updating new value at runtime.

I have implemented string input function in the asyn based device support. I am reading the system time and convert it to the string.  But every caget will give the PV value at the time of IOC initialisation

But it seems that stringin record is not access the asynOctet read function.

 

Do i need to flush string?

I initialize Octet base

status = pasynOctetBase->initialize(p_nisyncDrvPvt->portName,
&p_nisyncDrvPvt->asynOctet, 0, 0, 0);

What could be the reason? Is there any mode
