Hi Kevin,

I have written EPICS drivers for an older (non-CONEX) Newport autocollimator, as well as for other CONEX devices (motors).  The CONEX devices act as serial devices (though typically they are USB).  I just read the autocollimator manual, and it would be very easy to implement SteamDevice support for the commands it supports.  I would not recommend using their DLL, just send the commands directly.
