The NDPluginStats does give you SigmaX_RBV, SigmaY_RBV, and SigmaXY_RBV (tilt). These will be the correct sigma values if your beam profile is Gaussian. They are computed by a very efficient algorithm, using the average row and column profiles. It is MUCH more efficient than actually doing Gaussian fitting in 2-D, and can be proven to give the same result. It is fast enough to give real-time results at high-speed.
If you really need N-Dimensions, rather than 2-D, then I don't know of any existing plugin.

Subject: Is there any plugins or modules for Gaussian fitting?
Hello,
I am using the areaDetector module for the beam profile data
acquisition. The NDPluginStats can be used for basic statistics.
I want to do the Gaussian fitting on the arrays of any dimension. Is
there any plugins or modules?
Best regards,
Yingbing Yan
