I have come across some charts about redundant IOCs. I believe it was originally done on vxworks.
Is that available on the Linux platform?
And where can I get more info on the redundancy concerning epics.
Jörg is maintaining it. However I recently sent him code with several
modifications to additional features.
Here are my improvements:
1) Added support for DBADDR fields and larger fields (like waveform val
fields)
2) Added the ability to specify that some records should not be synced
(via info nodes)
3) Added the ability to only pause channel access (and continue
commanding hardware)
4) setup the CCE to post an event on the slave when it becomes in sync
(to trigger record processing if desired).
