You are right, we are not using the Debian build here.

The Debian build is only for Debian/Ubuntu IOCs, not cross-compiled IOCs, right?

If so, it is definitely not needed, because the camacApp/src/Makefile and camacApp/devsrc/Makefile both explicitly only build the library on vxWorks.

Hi Mark,

Is that really Michael's debian package that is being used here? He's only
asking about people who are using his packaged (binary) version for Debian and
Ubuntu Linux installations, not the synApps original source or the version
that appears on /APSshare which will still contain the CAMAC module.

He didn't make that terribly clear, you had to read his Subject: line to get
the full context of his question -- Micheal, you really should be a bit more
explicit when talking about your packages here on tech-talk...

There has grown up in the minds of certain groups in this country the
notion that because a man or corporation has made a profit out of the
public for a number of years, the government and the courts are charged
with the duty of guaranteeing such profit in the future, even in the face
of changing circumstances and contrary to public interest. This strange
doctrine is not supported by statute or common law. Neither individuals
nor corporations have any right to come into court and ask that the clock
of history be stopped, or turned back. -- Robert A Heinlein, Life-Line
