Hello all,
I've just managed to build epics base 3.14.11 on cygwin and I compiled
the example app, but when I try to run the st.cmd file there are some
odd errors that I've never encountered before.  Has anyone run into
these before?

Once the example app is built, here is a complete list of what I did:

$> cd /home/jfross/epics/exampleApp/iocBoot/iocexample
$> chmod +x st.cmd
$> ./st.cmd

C:\cygwin\home\jfross\epics\exampleApp\iocBoot\iocexample>#!../../bin/cygwin-x86/example
'#!..' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\cygwin\home\jfross\epics\exampleApp\iocBoot\iocexample>## You may
have to change example to something else
'##' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\cygwin\home\jfross\epics\exampleApp\iocBoot\iocexample>##

operable program or batch file.
The syntax of the command is incorrect.
C:\cygwin\home\jfross\epics\exampleApp\iocBoot\iocexample>< envPaths
