Have you already tried building MEDM using the 3.14.12.x stable branch of 
Base?  Did you extract the MEDM source into a proper 3.14 extensions build 
tree?  There is a brief description of how to do this and a link to the 
extensions/configure tar-file at
    http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/extensions/configure/index.php
