Sorry, I was wrong.

Somewhere is a ".." too many.

In general, the following should work:

Create a new dir, cd into it
Unpack extensionsTop_20120904.tar.gz
cd extensions
Set configure/RELEASE to
   EPICS_EXTENSIONS=$(TOP)
   EPICS_BASE=<wherever_your_base_is>
make

Good luck!
~Ralph

Hi Mike,

you seem to be using an EPICS 3.13 extension tree, trying to compile against a 3.14 base.
Please start with an extension configuration that matches you base version.
The EPICS Extension page [1] has tars for both.

Good luck!
~Ralph

Hello,

I am new to epics and Linux and I am trying to install the Epics base with some extensions (MEDM, asynDriver, and stripTool). The base installation went fine, but now  I am having a problem during „make“ of the extensions. I think it is related to the files that needs to be modified, so far I have changed 2 (make file in the extensions top directory and RELEASE file of the extensions). Could somebody tell me what am I doing wrong ?

Cheers, Mike
