The EPICS website will be going offline for some hours starting at about 5pm
Central US time tonight (2300 hours GMT). Our current Solaris web-server is
being replaced with a cluster of RHEL 6 machines with a load-balancer, and
this will also involve some DNS configuration changes, so you might have some
difficulty getting to the site for up to 48 hours afterwards (although that is
the extreme figure, most DNS changes propagate much faster than that).
The EPICS mailing lists should continue to work during the upgrade process,
although the list archives and RSS feeds obviously rely on the web-server to
function.
If you find parts of the EPICS website that don't appear to be working
properly after the upgrade, please let me know.

it is best to check if you are there to eat, or to be eaten.
