With a Moxa LAN-to-Serial, I can simply telnet into a port and control a serial device by typing the commands at the prompt.
After downloading the manual for the NI unit, I could find an mention using telnet.

Have you tried putting the IP# in a web browser, does it display a web page? any configuration info?

I can’t find the “TCP Server Mode” attribute of the port of the NI Ethernet/RS232 convertor(4 ports) , and the port likely needn’t to be configured.

 

Then, Is the port number the convertor’s port num or the device port in the machine? how should I set the port number in drvAsynIPPortConfigure?
