Base releases numbered 3.15.0.n should not be used in production systems, they 
have not undergone widespread testing.

Not really, it depends on the community, although I have heard ITER say that 
they'd like it by the end of next year to be able to use it in their 2014 
Codac core system release.

I have just added code to allow use of hex literals in CALC expressions to the 
3.14 branch (back-ported from the 3.15 version), so this will appear in the 
3.14.12.3 release which is due out before Christmas.
