Looking in the list archives I find a message from 2009 which I

interpret to mean that VDCT will preserve info() tags which are added

manually.

Cosylab has upgraded VDCT, starting with v2.6, so that the info field is kept after resaving a VDCT file, using VDCT, that has info fields included.

However, I have empirical evidence that this is not the case for VDCT

version 2.6.1274. This is the latest version according to the Cosylab page.

The tag I add is

info( autosaveFields_pass0, "VAL")

Then I start VDCT and make a change to an unrelated record. When saved,

the info() tag is absent. I've tried several variation on the quoting,

but this has no effect. I see nothing printed to the console and no log

message appear.

Does this work for anyone?
