Hello Leo,

Basically, the development has been focused on creating a solution to distribute and to manage high rate data flows using EPICS and preserving its concept of configurable linked components. This type of fast systems saturates interruption based solutions, so we focused on multithreading, non locking and active waiting components.

Although it is lack of last improvements, here you can find one of my presentations that can give you a good first view of the framework: "https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29694880/FPSC%20DPD%20subsystem.pdf";

And we have published some papers based on this architecture:
	- "ITER Fast Plant System Controller prototype based on PXIe platform"
		"http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0920379612003006";

	- "NetCDF based data archiving system applied to ITER Fast Plant System Control prototype"
		"http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0920379612002906";

I have just joined to the mailing list and to the EPICS development community, but please don't doubt ask me for any detail about the work. We would be pleased to contribute.

Rodrigo
