Hi,

Actually, our version also suffers from this problem. It’s caused by the device sending out regular 1Hz status messages. It can ignore a command if you happen to send it when it’s sending out its status message. I contacted Oxford Cryosystems about it, and they confirmed that this is the case. They recommend only sending a command immediately after a status message has come in. Or, double checking a command worked by checking the next status message, and retrying if necessary.

Cheers,

Matt

We have a modified version of the Australian Light Source's CyroStream Asyn IOC. The commands sent are only
caught by the CryoStream 90 % of the time now.  We are going to improve that to 100 % soon.  If you are still interested at that time, we may send you a copy.

We have an Oxford CryoStream 700 controller on which we are looking to update the software support. Does anyone already have support for this device?

Thanks,
   Pete
