Hi Carsten,

You should look for both JCA (wrapper on top of C library) and CAJ (reimplementation in pure Java) at:
http://epics-jca.sourceforge.net/
Last release for both was June 2012. We also setup continuous build at:
https://openepics.ci.cloudbees.com/
You can get them the binaries here (both release and latest dev):
http://epics.sourceforge.net/maven2/epics/
If you use maven, add the repository as shown here:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/distributions/index.php

You can also use pvmanager (http://pvmanager.sourceforge.net/ ) on top of them, to get caching/queuing/rate throttling/rate limiting/simulated data for tests and all the other things you will need to implement anyway to get a well behaved client working.

Hello,

does anybody use JCas (Java Channel Access Server) library at the moment. We're planning to use this library but the most recent version was published in June 2005.
Is there any alternative for Java?
