Hello Wesley,

We are using a Promux PM8TC from Procon Electronics. You can connect up to 8 thermocouples, provided within the box, with a 2 meters cables.
The interface is Modbus RS-485.

Hope this helps,

There are also one-wire serial strings. They do not do well in a rediation environment - but they are cheap. We are distributing them around our equipment.

Depending you how dispursed the TC's are, you might consider something like the AdvanTech ADAM 4000 or 5000 series modules.

The ADAM4011 is a single channel device that communicates over RS485, and the ADAM 5000 family includes small, chassis based Ethernet or serially connected modules that can handle single - 7 channel devices.

Take a look at

Small, lightweight devices that don't require much support to do their job.
