Subject: Announce: sequencer release 2.1.7

I am pleased to announce a new release 2.1.7 of the sequencer.

Once again, this is (almost) purely a bug-fix release, hopefully one of the
last for version 2.1. Since 2.1.6, only minor problems were reported, mostly
concerning shell commands and registrar calls. All known problems have been
fixed. Particularly, if the iocsh is not used (for instance because the
VxWorks shell is used instead), then it is no longer necessary to put the
registrar entries in the dbd file.

The only new feature (suggested by Lewis Muir) is that snc now does a state
reachability analysis: it outputs a warning for each state that cannot be
reached from the first state.

The reference now contains a section that lists all available shell commands
and explains what they are supposed to do.

For a detailed list of all user relevant changes see the release notes.

As usual, documentation, release notes, download links, and install
instructions can be found on the sequencer homepage:

Thanks to all who reported problems and so helped to improve the sequencer
project.

Cheers
Ben
