Hello Urša,

When you speak with software developers you may not hear PCIe explicitly

mentioned often. For software there is (intentionally) little

difference between PCI and PCIe.

In our server systems we use PMC modules with a PMC-PCIe carrier card.

This presents a transparent bridge. No software changes were required

to accommodate this.
