Folks,

If you are plan to attend the asyn training session next Monday at the EPICS Collaboration Meeting you might want to download some materials in advance:

http://cars.uchicago.edu/software/pub/asynTraining2012.tgz

http://cars.uchicago.edu/software/pub/asynTraining2012.zip

These files contain the same thing, I've just provided both .tgz and .zip formats as a convenience for Linux and Windows.

The contents are:

asynTalk.ppt First talk in PowerPoint format
asynTalk.pdf First talk in PDF format

asynPortDriverTalk.ppt Second talk in PowerPoint format
asynPortDriverTalk.pdf Second talk in PDF format

measCompDriverTalk.ppt Part 1 of third talk in PowerPoint format
measComp_All.docx Part 2 of third talk in Word format
measCompDriverTalk.pdf Complete third talk in PDF format

asyn/ asyn module source code
dac128V/ asyn driver for dac128V Industry Pack D/A
ipUnidig/ asyn driver for IpUnidig Industry Pack digital I/O
measComp/ asyn driver for Measurement Computing USB devices
measCompDemo/ Tutorial driver for Measurement Computing USB-1608GX-2A0
modbus/ asyn driver for Modbus devices

The training will not be "hands-on". But there will be an in-depth step-by-step tutorial and hardware demonstration of an asyn driver for the Measurement Computing USB-1608GX-2A0 multi-function USB device. By downloading the code for this and other drivers onto your laptops before the session you will be able to read the code more clearly than it is likely to project on a screen. You will also be able to browse files that I won't have time to cover in the tutorial.

See you Monday!

Cheers,
Mark
