Subject: RE: Cothread 2.6 release (now 2.7 release)

Alas I have discovered a regression (against 2.3) in the handling of string arguments to caput() in the 2.6 cothread.catools release. I've now made a 2.7 release with special handling for string arguments: unless datatype is explicitly specified in caput(), single string arguments are again sent as strings for IOC side conversion. In particular, you can again call

    caput('ENUMPV', 'string value')

without having to specify datatype=str (or, equivalently, datatype=DBR_STRING).
