Hello Kate:
We saw mvme5500 boards overheat in open laboratory crates
or when on extender cards, meaning they were out in the open
without any forced air cooling.
For MVME2100 that was OK, but the 5500 dies.
The 5500 was also getting quite hot in VXI crates
where the cooling was previously dialed down to reduce
noise.
They seem fine in ordinary VME creates, also in our
VXI crates when the fans are running full speed.
Regards,
Kay
