A bug report by Lewis Muir reached me right after this announcement. He also
provided analysis of the problem and a simple idea how to fix it. The
problem is documented on the web page and a fix contained in the latest
snapshot that I just uploaded. A new release 2.1.6 will be made soon.

BTW, the bug is old, it goes back to at least 2.0.12, an is probably present
in all versions starting with 2.0.0 (I didn't check, though).
