Lewis/Andrew,

At CLS we started to build most of our beamline data acquisition systems using Qt/EPICS in C++ about four/five years ago. We are willing to contribute what we had done so far.

We are willing to talk about the potential to collaborate in some of the areas Andrew discussed .....

It's a hot topic for those interested in QT-based tools. (I'm not saying I'm against them.) Andrew did not ask for a discussion of what would be the best MEDM, EDM, etc.
replacement, but rather asked for an expression of interest in a collaboration to develop QT-based tools. I'm just wanting to make it clear that probably a number of people (including me) are refraining from expressing opinions on what should be the replacement for MEDM and friends since that's not what Andrew asked. Andrew has decided on QT-based tools and is asking for an expression of interest in a collaboration on that.

Lewis
