Hi Elliott,

I developed the StreamDevice LS 336 support in "ip". Attached is an updated version that
includes unit (K/C) switching. Turns out that the 336 command query for 'units'
only worked if the units were set via command (as apposed to the front panel).

These changes are not released yet so let me know if there are any problems.

The synApps "ip" module has a StreamDevice database and protocol file for the Lakeshore 336. As Eric said it should work with either GPIB or Ethernet.

This is not listed in the EPICS Hardware Modules Web page, but it should be.

Hi,

Unfortunately the manual says there is no serial interface, just USB,
IEEE-488, and Ethernet. We're interested in using Ethernet.

Thanks,

 Hi Elliott,

if it's anything like the LS 330 or LS 331 all you really needs is
a serial line interface/driver and a database that talks to it.

 Hi,

Anyone know where to get a driver for a Lake Shore Model 336
temperature controller? I'm particularly interested in a Linux
 driver, not VxWorks.

 Thanks,
