Subject: mvme6100 HW issues?

Hi,

Has anyone experienced HW issues with MVME6100 board (or any other MVME board)?

Recently we bought our first Motorola/Emerson MVME6100 board.
It worked fine for about a couple of months but then it would start to show errors and stop working (unresponsive).
As nothing was changed in the HW setup (only that board in the crate, the crate open, the fan ok, etc.), and the errors caught on the screen looked like given below, I believe it could be a HW fault.

Some of the errors caught on the screen:
MVME6100>
isr: CPU Bus Parity Error
isr: Reg0x78 = 000001f0, Address = 002d6ab8
isr: Data High:Low = 00000000:00000000
isr: Parity = df, Cause = 30000040

After the screen freezes, it is not possible to enter anything from the keyboard.

It happens regardless of the way i boot i.e. for both MOTLoad FW (S4 = off on on off) or vxWorks (S4 = off off off off).

I noticed the heatsink on the board is loose and possibly not mounted properly (also would get very hot) - so I just sent it back to the supplier/manufacturer.

Has anyone experienced similar problems with mvme6100 or any other mvme board?

Regards, Vesna
