Kay,

One little question. When my CSS app is compiled to run on linux, the 'splash screen' (on CSS start-up) appears and I can see the plugins load, as well as the image with the CSS contributors (which is nice, as a matter of fact). When I run the same app on Windows (css.exe), the splash screen does NOT show up!!!

The same behavior is in the original CSS 3.0.1 from KEK!
Do you know what might be the reason?

PS
I have successfully built my CSS for linux, and it works absolutely wonderful.

I'm glad you see it that way.

Overall, it's not trivial, since the overall task
is similar to compiling and installing a comparable
set of the original EPICS client tools:
Decide if you want Probe, (M)EDM, StripTool, ALH, ...,
find suitable versions of Motif/Lesstif/OpenMotif,
then create some top-level launcher
(EDM "Main" page? tcl/tk or python/tk or ...?).

On the upside, once you get a CSS product assembled

for your site, it is quite easy to then "export" that
for Linux, Windows, OS X.
