Thanks for trying, but it looks like the EPICS community doesn't see the need 
for its own stack exchange site.  I considered the idea when stack exchange 
first launched, but I suspected then that there wouldn't be enough interest to 
sustain one, and I think the response here has shown that to be the case.

As far as I can see there have never been any questions about EPICS on the 
main stack overflow site, although there are probably a few people in this 
community who have used it.  I think we're just too small and have too few 
problems to sustain a separate Q&A forum like that.

Don't stop the ideas though, there are many ways that the community could 
improve its public face so I hope this experience wasn't too discouraging.
