SNS uses the archive system described in
http://cs-studio.sourceforge.net/docbook/
We use it with Oracle.
I believe ITER is planning to use the same software, but with PostGres.
Lana from ITER is about to update the array storage part
to write arrays to BLOBS.
That software was recently refactored so that the configuration and writing part
are replaceable. So instead of writing to Oracle/MySQL/Postgres in one format
you could implement your own way
of writing to MySQL, Hypertable or whatever but still
use the rest.
As mentioned, DESY, SLAC and BNL are at the same time working on similar
but different things.
