Hi,

The environment is:
  Windows XP
  Cygwin 1.7.9
  GCC 4.3.4

 
While compiling epics base as dlls, it stops when linking the cas example program. The complain is that certain classes can not be seen. Applying the attached patch would work out. 

btw: it works with gcc 3.4.4
