Hi EPICS folks,
I tried using VxStats-1-7-2h to diagnose a VxWorks problem that it turned out was caused by a State Notation Language (SNL) transition that returned back to the same state without any delays continuously. This seemed to take so much
CPU time that the VxWorks Channel Access Server just froze up.
When I checked the VxStats $(P)Load PV when (1) the Channel Access Server was working just fine and when (2) it was frozen, the value was 11.8 both times. Am I correct in assuming that the $(P)Load PV should have caught this problem
and showed something like 100 when the VxWorks Channel Access Server was frozen?
Here’s the $(P)Load PV when everything is working.
