You might also want to set the B.DISS field so that the scan-disabled record 
goes into an alarm state which then shows up on the EDM screen.  There are 
other ways to generate and propagate such an alarm, but DISS is probably the 
simplest.  You might need to forward-link from A to B though to actually 
update the disabled alarm status whenever A changes state.
